Daryl and Dwayne Mooney are the veteren stand-up comedians who coined the phrase "Conscious Comedy." These two brilliant brothers, offer a different type of humor that is not typical of black stand-up comedy today. Their brand of funny is an alternative to the comedy style of Def Jam. Conscious Comedy is funny and socially relevant for these modern times. The twins are intelligent and articulate men, who use their uncanny wit to inform audiences about current events and the social ills that affect our society; such as racism, sexism, the media and misinformation.
The Mooney Twins follow in the footsteps of the great stand-up legends Dick Gregory, their mentor and Paul Mooney, their father. Like these master joke-tellers, Daryl and Dwayne posses a special ability to make people laugh and think.
The Mooney Twins perform in comedy clubs and colleges around the country, including guest performances on BET's Comic View and The Montel Williams Show.
Additionally, The Mooney Twins Co-Starred in the motion picture, The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh.
